Traditional Yoga, for the body, the breath and the mind

More than postures
Yog is the state of balance. Yoga is the path towards it.
In the tradition Vineet grew up in, Yoga is practised through physical, mental and spiritual methods over time. Each class brings these together, adapted to the person in front of him.
01
Asana
The postures, practised with attention rather than force.
02
Alignment
Careful alignment and individual adjustment in each posture.
03
Breathing
Breath as part of every practice, not an afterthought.
04
Concentration
Steadying the attention, on the mat and off it.
05
Meditation
Turning the attention inward, towards awareness.
Styles
Four styles, one tradition
Vineet teaches four styles of Yoga. Which one suits you depends on your body, your experience and what you are looking for, and that is something you decide together.

Hatha Yoga
The traditional foundation: postures and breathing practised steadily, with time in each position.
Studied in Rishikesh with Rudra Dev Gaura

Ashtanga Yoga
A set sequence of postures, linked by breath, practised the same way each time.

Vinyasa Yoga
Postures joined in a flowing sequence, each movement matched to the breath.

Yin Yoga
A slow, quiet practice with postures held for longer, often seated or lying down.
How classes work
Private or in a group
Classes are traditional Yoga asana classes, taught one to one or for a group. Each begins with understanding who is in the room.

A class built entirely around you: your body, your pace and what you want from your practice.

03
Group class
More than 5 people
For larger groups, workplaces or events that want a traditional Yoga class.

Philosophy
Yoga philosophy and ancient Vedic knowledge
Alongside the practice, Vineet teaches classes in Yoga philosophy and ancient Vedic knowledge: the ideas behind the postures, and why practice matters at all.
These classes grow from the same place as everything at Aadiyog: the understanding that many difficulties are not solved only by changing the world outside, and that awareness of what happens within is where change begins.

In their words
From those who have practised with Vineet
“Beyond the physical part of the training, he taught me to stay authentic and more connected to myself. I am calmer and more reassured, and I live more happily because I now see things from a different point of view.”
