Where it began
A childhood among yogis, sadhus and saints
Vineet was born in Rishikesh on 29 October 1982 and raised in a traditional Brahmin family. Daily rituals and mantras were part of ordinary life, and gurus, sadhus, yogis, monks and saints were part of the town around him.
From childhood he developed a practice of his own: sitting quietly and observing within. It is the practice that everything else grew from.

The forest years
Learning by living with a teacher
From 2005 Vineet spent time with a teacher of Yoga, naturopathy and tantra, and lived with him in a forest hut for about a year.
There he studied Yoga philosophy and practice, self-awareness, and the connection between people and nature. His Yoga certificate followed in 2007, after this year with his guru and six months of training at Vishwa Shanti Mission, Rishikesh.
Teaching
Alignment, tradition and the classroom
From 2007 to early 2009 Vineet taught Yoga at the Purkal Youth Development Society school in Dehradun, which supports children’s education. In 2009 he taught at Kasiga International School, also in Dehradun.
In Dehradun he studied asana, alignment and individual adjustment with Iyengar teacher Rajiv Chanchania. In 2009 he returned to Rishikesh to study traditional Hatha Yoga with Rudra Dev Gaura.

Naturopathy
Bringing Yoga and naturopathy together
From 2010 to 2012 Vineet worked as a Yoga teacher and naturopath at the School of Yoga and Naturopathy in Pushkar, Rajasthan. In 2013 he completed a one-year Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) diploma at the Gorakhpur School of Natural Therapeutics.
In 2013 and 2014 he worked as a naturopath and Yoga teacher at Silent Forest Yoga Research Center near Rishikesh. He also completed a Master’s Degree in the Reiki method of natural healing in 2010.
His approach
Looking inward, one person at a time
Vineet’s teaching returns to the same points: self-awareness, individual needs and balance. He looks at the whole person rather than the physical body alone, and adapts practice to each person’s condition instead of offering one programme for all.
