Naturopathy

Working with nature, towards balance

Naturopathy at Aadiyog is a natural, lifestyle-based approach rooted in the traditional five-element framework. It is combined with Yoga, and planned for each person after an individual assessment.

The person behind Aadiyog

A life in Yoga that began in Rishikesh

Aadiyog rests on a few ideas from traditional Yogic philosophy and from Vineet’s own practice. They shape every class, consultation and programme.

The five elements

Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Aether

In the traditional view Aadiyog follows, health depends on balance between five elements, and imbalance among them is understood as a contributor to illness. Naturopathy and Yoga are ways of working towards that balance.

  • A traditional framework, offered as philosophy rather than medical science.

How it works

Every programme begins with understanding the person

No programme is one-size-fits-all, but each follows the same steps.

01

Personal consultation

A conversation about your current health concerns, lifestyle, diet and personal circumstances.

02

Observation

Following naturopathic tradition, Vineet observes areas such as the skin, eyes, tongue and abdomen, and asks about eating habits.

03

Individual assessment

Together you decide which yogic and naturopathic practices may be appropriate for you.

04

Your plan

You agree the duration and a daily schedule, often two to four hours a day depending on the programme.

05

The programme

The agreed practices are carried out over the agreed days, with diet and lifestyle support alongside.

06

Continuing at home

Some practices are given to continue at home for a defined period. The longer aim is greater awareness and balance.

Programmes

Structured programmes

Some people come for a defined programme. Each begins with a consultation, and the practices and number of days are agreed together.

Before you begin

Your health comes first

Naturopathic programmes are complementary. They do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. Please tell Vineet about any health condition or medication at your consultation, and speak with your doctor.

Anyone who wants to work with traditional Yoga, naturopathy or meditation on a personal level. Every programme starts with a consultation, so the practice is adapted to your condition and needs.
[Answer to confirm with Vineet]
You talk about your current concerns, lifestyle, diet and circumstances. Vineet also observes signs such as the skin, eyes, tongue and abdomen, in the naturopathic tradition. Together you then agree which practices suit you, for how many days and for how long each day.
It depends on the programme and the person. Full Body Purification & Detoxification runs for at least seven days at two hours a day, and the Digestion programme for five to seven days. Others, such as Back Pain, are planned case by case.
Travel fees may apply depending on distance.

Begin with a conversation

Every practice at Aadiyog starts in the same place: a personal consultation to understand your condition, your daily life and what you are looking for. From there, you decide together what comes next.
